Flat 14ers Club

Check out a new walking/pedometer program which uses your steps to "climb" the Colorado 14ers...those peaks which are over 14,000 feet high.

Getting started:

  • Get a pedometer for a $2.00 participation fee from Teller County Public Health when you join America on the Move, www.americaonthemove.org

  • Bring in your registration information or register and pay at the TCPH office to get the pedometer.

  • Make a plan

    • Your goal is to increase your steps by 2000 until you have 10,000 steps a day.

    • Click here for printable Club information

    • Download and print the personal log; Teen/Adult or Youth, so that you can record your completed "climbs". On the personal log files; click on the name of each peak to view information about that peak. You can print it off to post so that you can keep a visual reminder of your goal.

    • Record your steps regularly. Some people will wear their pedometer for an entire week and then log the steps. Some people log steps every day. It is your choice.

  • Return your completed Flat 14ers personal log to Marilyn Bruce at TCPH and receive your official "Flat 14ers Clib" t-shirt.

  • The whole family can do it together too. Remember anyone any age can paricipate!

  • Click here for a group/team or school class record sheet. Get others involved to have even more fun.
