Motorcycle Rider Loses Leg 2 Years After Crash
" AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- It was two years ago that a man riding a motorcycle was struck by a driver who ran a red light. Now that man is saying goodbye to his leg which was crushed in the crash.

“It’s going to be two inches from the knee,” said Greg Edwards.

Edwards was involved in a serious crash April 30, 2012. He was driving through the intersection at Chambers and Iliff after his light turned green.

Approximately six seconds after the light went red for drivers at the cross street, a car driven by a young female went into oncoming traffic and struck the 20 year Navy veteran’s motorcycle.

Edwards was thrown from his motorcycle and broke his ankle, femur, needed stitches and even wound up with some broken teeth.
