Rental Cars Under Recall Are Still Being Rented

" DENVER (CBS4) - There is no law against renting cars that are under recalls, but one car company CBS4 contacted in Denver was still renting them.
After a woman who was injured in a serious accident on Interstate 25 this year, she discovered the car’s airbags were under recall but hadn’t been repaired. The accident report says the airbags didn’t inflate upon impact.
The victim, Leslie Roberts, rented the car from a company on Colorado Boulevard. Since the accident, the company has changed ownership, but a previous employee told CBS4 some of the vehicles stayed with the facility.
A CBS employee rented a 2011 Ford Fiesta and took the car to a licensed auto repair facility downtown.
