Civic Center Park Remains An Easy Place To Score Marijuana
" DENVER (CBS4) – Civic Center Park has long been known as Denver’s version of a marijuana superstore. So 4 On Your Side Investigator Rick Sallinger wondered what it was like now that Amendment 64 has been passed by the voters.

The legalization of marijuana has not taken effect, but you wouldn’t know that in the downtown park.

“Hey, I was looking for some weed,” Sallinger asked a man in the park on Tuesday. He just happened to have some ready for purchase.

“First of all, is it legal now?’ Sallinger asked the man.

“Yeah … it’s all legal baby,” the man responded.

The conversation went down as children played in the park nearby.

The new law would only allow a person to possess up to an ounce of marijuana, but a man in Civic Center Park was willing to sell more than that and told Sallinger it was legal "
