Gessler: Colorado Prepared For Election Spotlight
" DENVER (AP) – Republican Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler says the state is ready to handle being in the electoral college spotlight.

Gessler said in a recent interview with The Associated Press the closeness of the presidential race here is putting many on edge.

But Gessler says state officials and county clerks have been preparing for more than a year and that his staff has come up with responses to dozens of scenarios of things that could go wrong. Election officials are also expecting many of the votes will already be cast by Election Day "
